Your topology flow seems alright, but try retaking your reference photo. Try to use a zoom lense from far away, to minimize perspective distortion. Idealy, you'll be able to clearly see your ears, and it should make your nose smaller and face more square. This way you can model with a low POV or even in non-perspective.
Hello Ben, here is my opinion: - Landing page: There's a grey button that is not doing anything when I click. Best to remove that. - When I scroll down, I question if you want to be a general 3D, asset or environment artist. If you want to focus on being an asset/environment artist, you shouldn't put your mo cap animation…
drogyn -- I like how you're handling the horns! Much more likely what they would be like in reality Jarvgrimr -- I think your hands look like they need the most work right now. I'd probably seperate them from the rest of the character so that you can drop the density of the mesh way down and slowly work them back up…
Welp, i think I'm more or less done with this scene. It's not perfect, but I gotta let it go. I learned a sh*tton on the way to getting to this point, though. Started with a small redneck fishing hole in a swamp and ended up with a nomadic outland scene bordering on an MMO scale. I was planning on polishing damn near…
I’m curious how others here handle unit and scale consistency across different tools and engines. In my experience, scale drift tends to creep in over time — especially when assets move between Blender, game engines, and other DCCs. Even when everyone “knows” the correct units, small inconsistencies still seem to cause…

Hello everyone. I will try to explain best I can. So basically I am doing 3d on my free time from about a year I am not so skilled, but also I am not a total noob. I started doing a model of a big double handed war axe I am trying to keep the polys as low as possible because I want to texture it later in substance. When I…
Thanks Hynocube! Yeah, more fleshed out bits of storytelling would have gone a long way in the environment, I agree. Those ideas were all things we wanted to do better at (and are all present in limited, not really impactful ways) but didn't end up working out. Our original plan was for larger rock props to be more unified…
Doing a project for class, and I decided I wanted to model a woman. The project is to do EVERYTHING in Zed. So here's the model sheet and what I've got so far. I think the body is decent at this point, the holes in the head were where I had the horns but deleted them, if anyone knows a way to actually quickly plug that…
