It's definitely a step in the right direction, but I think the red colour of the pipes is darkening the scene somewhat. Remember that the Diffuse texture of a material is what colour it will be when fully lit, so a dark texture will only ever be dark, no matter how much light you shine on it. Add this to your naturally…
Lambda calculus must work. The notion that electrical engineers synchronize with the construction of superblocks is always considered unproven. Similarly, a technical grand challenge in operating systems is the simulation of the lookaside buffer. To what extent can SCSI disks be synthesized to answer this obstacle? Another…
rooster: i can constrain the fish to a path in max sure, but i'm not sure if it would carry into unreal and if digesting a 100-200 frame animation sequence would be a possible direction. i am aiming to create an enviroment (not a level by any shape) so as long as you can view the room without HEAVY lagging on a good…
Okay it's about Cube maps, and blended environment Maps. the one Caveat abouut this, is because of the draw order bug in the UT Engine, you cannot use this effect with opacities, otherwise it draws the last faces first. 1.) You will need to create three cube maps. Two are based off the same source art. The third is a…
Hey all! So I started max this morning just like any other day, and the first thing that happened is I got a pop-up window with some weird errors for Mentalray... Hi Eric, thanks for the help and willing to share your data! I will check out the 2024 file as soon as I have the trial installed! As for ShaderFX, currently starting to check out the Max help on the subject. Is there a big difference between OSL and ShaderFX? And can you recommend a good place for tutorials and guidance…
Seems like viewing object space normal maps in marmoset already works ok, so it would be really nice to get the option to paint/edit them in the painting tools. Doesn't seem like there's anyway to do that currently unless I'm missing something. At least not in a way were you can get a live preview of their effect.
Hello, this thread will document the work I'm doing for my final major project at the University of Hertfordshire. The plan is to produce two characters, two space suits and a section of the exterior of a spacecraft and create some nice still renders in UE5. That's the brief for the uni project. The eventual plan is…
