Sup, I'm going to do a Blood Moon Syndra splash art. She's Ionian, so she probably fits in this skin theme lore. "Power belongs to those who can wield it." - Syndra
I'm trying to get away with just 3DSMAX, Substance Designer, Substance Painter & UE4. Going for environment design. Considering the power of substance designer and painter do you think it's necessary to use zbrush in a workflow?
I've only used 3D coat for retopology purposes and I was wondering if the experienced folk around here could share what makes 3D Coat such a powerful tool for hand-painted texturing. Doesn't Substance Painter offer as much options for this type of texture work?
first off...I dont know how it happened...but I got plugged on the front page of cgchannel thanks to the powers that be... heres a speed painting that was used as a concept cover design for thegamecreators monthly newsletter....the finished cover will be quite different...
Yes you can align but that's in the Hair Tool addon. Tilt and scale on a CV selection basis are pretty damn powerful though. Most of my time goes into tweaking the details anyway.
I love coasters and this just makes me so happy and eager for a more realistic, UDK powered RollerCoaster Tycoon follow up haha. Congratulaions man, it's looking mighty fine.
Thanks guys! @blood_falcon: Thank you, that means a great deal to me. You're right, MacroUVs are sparsely covered but incredibly powerful. And honestly, there are only a few steps to get it going. Cheers!
Yeah have to second that idea. I mean the ultrabooks aren't all that thick. Why can't they take the power of an Ultrabook and than place it in a tablet formfactor with pressure sensitive stylus. Gah....
Thanks for your replies, guys! After a break from this model I decided to do some experiments with lighting in Marmoset 3, and I'm quite happy with results. It's really a powerful software.
