I don't understand the ribcage when it comes to skinning. Am I supposed to skin to the ribcage, spine3 and spine4 OR do I just leave the ribcage out of the skinning and just use it as a controller? I've been trying to find documentation on this, but having trouble. I will update this post if I figure it out.
Yes, that's right. In my industry job and from other artists I know, using AI in production is becoming more prevalent, for better or worse. My personal opinion is it can be abused, absolutely - but it's not going away and this was a test to see if I could use it minimally and effectively in small doses. To bridge the gap…
It's going to be difficult, and perhaps impossible. The current ongoing disaster of the U.S. political scene is also very biased against immigration, which is very unfortunate. But even if you ignore that, the traditional work visa process has always been biased towards direct experience in the specific work area. A degree…
Hi everyone, I wanted to share some car wallpapers I created for Wallpaper Engine. I take existing car photos and enhance them by adding effects, objects, and visual tweaks to create more dynamic and visually appealing wallpapers. I used my own tools and equipment, and I added my imagination to that as well. I'm trying to…
Hello, Besides all the technical details about baking well-covered above by @Fabi_G (as always !), I think you are going down a weird rabbit hole with this model. It certainly looks very clean and detailed, but it also looks a lot like something that has been crafted with a CAD-like mindset of trying to put each and every…
Well, details like on this helmet absolutely cannot be distorted/elongated/stretched in CAD - that's just not how CAD surfacing works, and that's precisely why I showed this practical example ... Of course a simple grenade or belt buckle (or even a complex firearm, especially if a degree of improvisation is allowed) is…
Hey @Araka this is a great start. As Eric pointed out composition would be a great start for you. 1. Have a clear understanding of where your focal point is. And then expect to guide people towards it. 2. A good general rule of thumb is "the rule of thirds" - it means that your focal point should fall on a third of the…
This is an OK resolution for PC games. I recently cleaned up a car model for web 3D use, and documented the work here, might be helpful for you. You can download the model too. Interactive view here 213,347 triangles 162,790 vertices No high-low baking workflow, instead it uses a tiled normal map to simulate a…
