hi guys, I made this piece for my portfolio tri count is 3,164 and texture resolution is 4096 I modeled this in 3ds max, textured in substance painter and Photoshop and then rendered in UE4(I am not very good at rendering)
I import a mesh object into max5, assign a materal to it (multi-sub)and render -all is fine. I attach it to another mesh, assign a materal, render is No Good. Checked the IDs, all ok. Any ideas?

UV's don't need to be in the 0-1 space. Place them wherever you want and scale them up/down to get the tiling texture to repeat as much as desired. Unreal not sure, but Unity can import and render quads. When we talk about final rendering though, even modeler like Blender or Maya or Max uses a triangulated geometry under the hood. It's the most stable geometry.
