Not so long ago, many architects could only dream about presenting self-made, realistic 3D images and videos of their designs to clients. Since its launch in 2010, Lumion has been changing the way architects work by helping them communicate their design ideas better and faster than ever before. Because of this, Lumion has been embraced by architects in over 150 countries.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a technical artist, you would be responsible for creating and implementing the look, style, theme, and aesthetics of Lumion’s render outputs. Artists with these core skills are challenged to implement: real-time lighting, create and optimize shaders, develop rendering systems, and create particle systems and effects that interact with other assets.
As part of an integrated team, you will;
Develop the artistic look of the render outputs in our visualization engine
Develop material and shading pipelines, workflows, and tools that are future-proof and industry-leading
Work with our engine programmers to identify and develop new techniques
Who you are
We’re looking for someone who is creative by nature, autonomous, production and has a proven track record in the field. You listen well, are a patient, supportive and constructive team player. You are passionate about 3D graphics, and should be eager to help us push the boundaries to solidify Lumion as the premier visualization tool for Architect’s around the world.
You have experience writing shaders with HLSL, Compute and DirectX 12
You possess in-depth knowledge of cutting-edge shader techniques
Fluent in English
Experience in a video game development studio or similar industries
5+ years of relevant professional artistic experience developing shaders
Strong knowledge of lighting techniques and workflows
Expert-level understanding of color correction and post effects
Strong knowledge of photographic concepts
Strong knowledge of particle systems and visual effects
You enjoy working with multidisciplinary teams
Enjoy working in an environment with a lot of quirky people
