1) pyramid with divisions. 2a) select each row of edges and in turn, do "add divisions to edge" (in maya), adding more verts as you go down each row. 2b) triangulate 3) select and poke all faces. 4) not shown, move the center vertices out by their normal.
Posted on the Silo forums but thought it might help someone out here... I thought it might be worth mentioning to nVidia users about a ghosting fix that I've run across. I have an nVidia 6600 with a dual monitor display using latest Forceware 93.71 drivers. There is a single setting which when enabled, (as it is by…
Looks very Impressive ! I like how i did hair on the latest post, on 2B though i think you should add a few more hair card to break the shape a liitle, but i'm also not a hair expert and i'm learning how to make proper hair on models myself.
@vatsel: Nah it was just that. I was reading on the net that you need 2B to shade stuff. But if we are using just .5mm mechanical pencil, I'd need a cotton to give that shading depth.. Thanks though. You gave me a relief that one does not need any sort of art pencil set for a good art and so on.

This is "the beast" This is a first sketch i really like. It is painted on a computer, with 2B pencil in Corel painter. So i will texture and sculpt a model based on this drawing. His eyes will make stronger impact than current draw, when textured. Overall impression? fell free to comment, i would really like to shear you…

Hi everyone. I am a newbie to 3d modeling. I am an amateur artist and want to use 3d models as references for drawings. I downloaded this 2B model .fbx type file and import it to Blender, but something wrong with the armature: I never see iblect and armature like this, how can I fix this ? If I buy maya and import will it…
Chad: If you like the control of max and the results of xnormal than you are in luck. You can export your cage to xnormal in a simple step and use the cage instead of raycast in xnormal. This way you litterally do everything in 3ds max, and simply bake in xnormal (no raycast, just cage). There are actually 2 ways to do…
1) Not sure about this 2) Use a noise texture for random inside materials. HLSL/GLSL have no inbuilt rand() equivalent. You might be able to generate a random material parameter from inside Cascade. 2b) There's also a tag on the texture sample node for each of the four channels, no need to explicitly filter. 3)Don't know…
