Not quite sure what just happened there but your point is as valid as it is tired. However, a fun game is a fun game and if they nail the shooting and make it feel great, this game could work. -

Pazaak in SW:KOTOR was fun. Like TCG blackjack kind of. The semi-3d special stages in Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles were fun. I used to play those a lot. -
