I find that when I'm making larger assets that require masks for things like edge wear etc., if the asset is big the masks tend to be low res depending on the size. Is there a way to get better resolution masks? What is the workflow for texturing big meshes that require tiling textures, some edge wear or other masks like…
That looks like what happens when that edge in your uv's is not perfectly horizontal or vertical. Looks like your getting pixels that are at an angle there where it should be a straight line. What do your uv's look like?
Hi all. I'm trying to rig an aircraft in Maya for export to UDK. I have one root joint around the top center of the aircraft, and then a joint for each control surface. Each control surface is a sub-object. At each control surface, I have a locator set and aligned to the rotation axis of the hinge line; so if I rotate the…
I would imagine a foreign world infested with dangerous types of life, maybe like giant insects kind of like StarCraft-esque. Something like this would be an end game structure/unit for harvesting or potential combat.
I like the structure of your bike and the concept is cool. I feel like that front engine should be more attatched or closer to the body of the bike it feels like if you where to drive it the front end would come flying off. Also I feel like your textures are clashing a lot. When you look at normal motorcycles they have…
Could I bum a ride from someone by chance? I live like 3 blocks from Monolith, I ride my bike everywhere so getting down there and back would be a bit of a hassle. If not I can try and catch the bus but I don't know if I will have time.
Not the angles of the edges, the length of the edges. So if I have geometry like this (where . is vertex, _ is connecting edge):._.____.____. then it will relax to that length in a straight line, whereas yours looks like it'd end up like this (evenly spaced):.___.___.___.
Obligatory: I really don't think this reads very well - it isn't obvious enough what's going on, but I like the concept and may revisit it. Inktober day 6: "SWORD" - messed up a slightly better rendered version of this and needed to post before the deadline (that's life), inspired by the great Mike Mignola
I'm interested to know who has used the Wacom ipad stylus, and weather or not it lives up to the Wacom reputation. Since I draw more than I paint, these thicker stylus tips make me feel like I have less control over my line work. :S
