Hi, this is probably the dumbest question I've ever asked on a forum but here it goes. It seems we had 8-bit, 12-bit/14-bit (DSLR RAW images) and 32-bit floating EXR images....but is there any reason to see anything else beyond this? Is it tecnically or inevitable that there will be 64bit images in the future? Just…
Hey Guys, been working on this environment (my first) for around the last ~7-8 weeks (around other uni subjects). The whole thing is rendered in CE2. I'm really happy with the end result, and it's been a great learning experience. Anyway, some pics! And here's the concept I based it off (done by Ágnes Staudt for an…
I recently acquired Deep UV. My problem is, I don't know where to install it. I'm using Max 8, but Deep UV's set up only has Max 4-6 listed. If someone could let me know what folder(s) to extract it to, I would be grateful and may buy you a pizza.
Hello guys, I've been working on a model based on the Warhammer "Valkyrie" concept. It's not done yet (haven't started on the cockpit texturing yet) but I would welcome some feedback before i throw in the towel! It's 8 848 tris and has 2048*2048 diffuse, spec and normal map. Rendered in Maya Hardware with Kodde's CGFX…
Hey everyone, first time posting here. I have been told to post by a friend to get some help. I have only been doing 3D for 8 months learning from the community on here and thought it was about time to post and get some critique on my scene. Thanks for looking.
So I've roughly spent 8 hours in maya, I've got one large asset and then I'm moving on to modular fittings and set dressing. Then on to low polys and texturing. Any Warframe artists on here? I would love to know how you tackled the Corpus architecture. C&Cs welcome :) Image - compressed for Polycount (523KB)
Thanks for the help man! Noticed RC.exe is cancelled when i try to export from photoshop aswell. - Dae is not read only. - The entire structure is read only but I can't change it, it reverts to read only. Apparently folders are like that now? Win8 - Same error - Same PK )Cqï³5f ) Testcube.daeíZ[oÚH~Ôÿ0ò>î/@…
if you are used to doing woodwork, metal fab can be a nice change of pace. The materials are harder to shape/cut and welding itself is a skill to learn but you don't need to be nearly as precise with fit up. A 1/8" gap is no big deal and you can just fill it with weld.
Just because it is such an old thread of us: https://cosmosmagazine.com/technology/materials/long-term-data-storage-in-glass/ https://opg.optica.org/optica/fulltext.cfm?uri=optica-8-11-1365&id=462661 But so far I can update my info from back then I do not do DVD anymore but I have my important stuff now on two-drives raids…
Mayterials Day 8 - Junk: I bit off more than I could chew with today's material. I wanted to make a stylized junk material but had trouble layering the different pieces of junk without clipping. I've definitely got to find some solution to this issue.
