I guess the real work with the hair will begin only once I start with the textures. So no end to the tweaking :D I also shouldn't have started with Katheryn Winnick's hair from Vikings... ( http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/236x/3d/90/27/3d90273a12c4713dafc031ceeca43f2d.jpg )... bad idea... I will see what I can squeez out…
you don't need to start over. but actualy i always think starting over is better for learning, especialy after a certain point. if you find you are spending days tweaking a model and can't get it right.. then start over. you lose nothing but gain more experience. AND DON"T SHADE WITH BLACK. Jesus christ invented the…
No offence, but you're like the 5th guy with 1 post that posts a pic of a 'poorly' drawn character and wants to start a project. Are you guys somehow related, like a group of students or something? Because if yes, you all realy should work on your anatomy. Before you start modeling this, I'd realy suggest to fix the…
I'm no character artist myself but from what i know you usualy start with blocking out the shapes in your 3d tool before sculpting or use whatever methods the sculpting tool offers. I've heard good things about Blender's dynatopo, which allows you to basicly start from a cube and more topo to work with gets added…
Well, now I hate you. Since I looked at this thread all I can hear is the music that started whenever enemies were around. IT WON'T STOP! danananananana dun dun dun danananananana dun dun dun For anyone that doesn't know [ame] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-xYkWHJGoU&feature=related[/ame] The combat music starts pretty…
Here's the start of the ship design. As mentioned in the WAYWO thread, this is the just the start. I plan to do a cross-section of this guy and some interior sketches. Wanted to make something cool, seemingly new, and certainly less BORING that what is in my painting. Entrance of the gave where the ship has run aground.…
This is just a case of needing more geometry. If you start by using a cylinder with enough sides, you won't have to add in vertical support loops to retain the shape. Here's an example starting with a 60 sided cylinder. If you want the edges to be sharper (which is usually not a good thing) then just start with more sides.…
You're absolutely right of course. I should start off with thumbnails of composition and then go from there. I started this piece off as a character illustration with no background. I experimented with adding in some background action to give it some more context but as it goes on it's just not working because I didn't…
Depends how far you would like to take this and what would it be used for. If it is just for practice should be fine to have separate parts - they will stay as separate parts in zbrush as well but you could always hide the seam with overlapping one part on top of the other. If you are just starting, start with something…
Alright guys back with a new update after starting the character again and using a completely different reference i've created a low poly character, which instead perfect by any means, and i started working on the textures, this is the first time i've started painting textures using photoshop. Also i have to fix the seems…
