Like I said, I use 4.5 and haven't found a compelling reason to upgrade. I've decided to add RenderMonkey to my pipeline. It's quicker to set up, the viewport is more responsive, it doesn't add a lot of bulk to your system, it's VERY artist friendly with the sliders, it uses non-hardware specific language..and it comes… -

I think having those squares as lights would be too over-powering for the scene, so far it seems more ominous then that. Disting, maybe quickly try and export the ceiling model / texture into Crysis and see how the normals react in there, I know sometimes maya (for me personal) can play some havok on how it displays… -

Will performance for UDIMs be on par with Mari in future?
Sometimes I have to work on bigger projects which has a lot of UDIMs and high resolution maps, but Mari seems to handle it much better, especially with baking nodes. Painter struggles and I'm stuck having to isolate off more to maintain performance while also working at a lower texture size. Will Painter get up to speed… -
Zbrush Remove Material from Material Palette
So I accidentally double clicked on a bad ZMT file, and now I have this useless material hogging a slot on the material palette. Is there any way to remove it from the palette? Editing Vertex Normals in Softimage XSI Mod Tool 7.5? How do I do it?

Answered: Updated colour ID only partially works
I updated my colour-id map and reimported it, it shows up on my model when I hold "c" but the new colours don't appear in the drop down selection of any of the smart ID's - any ideas? I see the id's .psd has the new areas blank and I'm not sure how to fix that since the layers seem to be linked and applying a new material…
