I'm at a very small studio. 15 people. The studio is in the bosses basement in the middle of nowhere. Seriously, its 1 street of houses with no stores or anything for about 10-15 minute drive. there's a gas station close, but that's about it. I work 9 - 5, Monday to Friday. So, yes, not exactly long hours or in the city.… -

Sending them the invoice doesn't automatically mean they'll pay you the same day. Usual arrangements are "net 15" or "net 30", i.e. payment within 15 days or 30 days. No time indicated means they'll pay whenever they feel like paying you....if at all. I accepted a gig with full payment after invoice but no time indicated.… -

if you like credits, don't work in TV. ever notice how long the credits are at the end of shows that even air them? yeah, like, 15-20 ppl. that's basically the guest star, and the guys at the top. nothing for the other 100-300 ppl working on the show. If you're going to be running UT3 and want to stay below 17' notebooks, Geforce 8600 is really your only option. ATI cards dont seem to work too well these days with 3d modeling apps, and even though the 8600 is the most powerful current offering from Nvidia for 15' it still can only run UT3 at 800x600 or 1024x768… -
