Hi, I have started an environment piece based on the quidditch supply shop from Harry Potter. I'm pretty new to this and I have a long way to go but thought I would make a post so hopefully I can improve as I go. Here is what I have so far: My main ref is from the Warner Bros. studio tour (but i am not looking to make an…
I don't normally use zbrush very much so I decided to do a small environment that would give me a chance to learn some of the tools a bit better. I'm not completely satisfied with how everything came out, but I've been picking away at this thing for way too long and am just going to call it done. It was a fun learning…
Hello Polycount, I finished the high school last month and I have to decide now where I have to go to the college. But now poops up the question in my mind: Is it worthing to stay 3/4 years in a college and pay to learn something you can learn by yourself? Ok, I'm not telling that I can't be taught or I know everything,…
So I redesigned my portfolio to make it a lot more simplistic and straightforward. I'm constantly joining new challenges and trying to keep it updated with new work, and I wanted to get your opinions and feedback on any of the props, models or textures in the environments. So I know what to fix and what to get rid of. I…
Cool website man. Simple....what theme did you use within Weebly? I'm using it to build a portfolio as well so I'm a bit curious. Also, try to for a new environment do a day time scene. Your environments have this setting/mood lighting that depicts a night time atmosphere. Especially your first. Your Sci Fi one feels like…
Everything that has been said. I would just add more info on the projects. Wireframes, polycount, texture sheets, etc. IMO, I don't see the point of the initial blockout for the L4D environment. I am already seeing the final one. You are showing you can do it so why put the environment in it's blocking stage in your demo…
Your work is fantastic. I think you do it a big disservice by spreading it out amongst a bunch of tiny thumbnails. I would much prefer a single-page layout that describes the scene, has wires and flats, and much larger photos. Is this professional work? personal? At the very least organize the big environment pieces…
It's been some time since I've posted here, so I thought it would be cool to share what I'm working on! This project has been super fun so far, I kept it pretty open ended design wise and just iterated as I went. I will say that the art from the Dark Souls series was a big motivator for this project as I really do love…

Hi folks, I'm seeking an experienced 3D environment artist to work on the musical adventure game Pallas of Vines.
