I checked if there was overlapped UV's with xView , it told me there are 28 of them. How do i fix them exactly ? The dark spot with very much polys look weird. (Maybe that's one of the reasons ?)
We could do that. Just not sure if it's too much trouble for little gains or not. Example: 19-22 June = Theme Vote. 23-28 June = Concept Vote Feels like it's overkill for no reason.
Oct.28/14 Update: Working on higher level details. Added details to the armour, sculpted the cloth parts. Added some plates and scale mail! I guess I'll be starting the retop soon.
Pretty decent and quick read. It's a nice change of pace to see video games defended. http://blogs.forbes.com/johngaudiosi/2011/07/28/expert-calls-blaming-video-games-on-tragic-massacres-like-oslo-and-columbine-racist/
I thought I would enter another comp again just for some practice. This is for Cgchat's comp #28. Here's the initial sketch: Here's the final concept: Model coming sometime before the 25th of July. _FreD_
Not sure if you animating this or not but you should take a quick look at this about limb topology. It might help later down the line when bending the fingers and such. http://wiki.polycount.com/LimbTopology?highlight=%28\bCategoryTopology\b%29
fly_soup. Don't worry man, you are a late starter. I did fuck all till I was about 28 your work is good, so there is no reason to think you won't get a job at some point
probably a bit excessive for a base mesh also some of the polygon density changes that work for this type of modeling are less than ideal for a base. see also; http://wiki.polycount.com/BaseMesh?highlight=%28%5CbCategoryCharacterModeling%5Cb%29
Some edges are pretty sharp, but you can always fix that. Take another look at the flashhider, it is made by AAC, it has three prongs with the gouges in them. http://stickman.rainierarms.com/galleries/AAC/IMG_4193%201-28%20Stick.jpg
Something funny about Sony - I thought it'd be better to post in here, it's probably not worth a new topic on it's own... Sony are pretty dumb, it seems. http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/03/28/news_6121137.html
