Saw a lot of cool female knight concepts going around and got super attached to this one. Doing this because I want to diversify the body types in my portfolio and practice armor and stylized work. Original concept art by Sean Ng
I must have missed the thread. I can't believe we would all overlook such a beautifully stylized game for just another AAA thread. [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_d6sBWQoWY"]Never Alone (Gameplay) - YouTube[/ame]
Hey there Just wondering in the correct workflow for polypainting and posing. My model is very stylized cartoon and quite symmetrical. So it feels like it would be easier to polypaint first. I don't know if that will affect posing at all? Thanks so much!
Thank you for the feedback, I agree, I think I may reduce the eyeliner a bit in the texture. she has very thick lashes and eyeliner in the show, but this really may be due to the stylized nature of their design.
Here is a personal project that I have been working on over the weekends. I wanted to explore the stylization with the sculpt and was pretty pleased with the final sculpt. I am planning to make this a real-time project in Unreal or Marmoset so off to Retopo :) Concept by JIANFENG XING
Definitely hope I can do a metal slug env. It's my favorite Arcade game (as my avatar might depict.) It's probably gonna be my first attempt at stylized work. (and a full project for that matter!)
So I started this character project. It will be a slightly stylized woman, inspired by Pior's work. Not sure where the design on the costume etc will end up at all right now. Just concentrating on the anatomy for now =D
Can you post the reference you've been using? It'll make it easier for us to critique. Are you going for a realistic head? Stylized? By seeing your reference, we can help with the direction you're going in.
I vote for this one (seems easier on the texturing and detailing end, and I feel more confident that I will be able to finish this as a stylized piece). And I kind of imagine it to be a chibi version of the "Dark Souls" knight bunch. :)
This is really a stellar piece, you color work and stylization are fantastic. And thank you so much for posting up your wireframes, I have such a hard time finding wireframes for awesome pieces like this!:D
