ZBrush - Polypaint or Pose First?

Hey there
Just wondering in the correct workflow for polypainting and posing. My model is very stylized cartoon and quite symmetrical. So it feels like it would be easier to polypaint first. I don't know if that will affect posing at all?

Thanks so much!

It won't affect posing it's just color.

    Okay cool.
I was told texturing first has the potential to distort the texture - is that correct?

Sort of, depends on the context. Texturing a subdivided model has the possiblity of texture stretching, depending on how you texture a model and how it was subdivided. Polypaint is a little different because its typically texturing at the highest subdiv, so you avoid the types of texture stretching problems that people used to have.

But you can still get texture stretching if you distort the model too much in zbrush. That said, zbrush isnt really a 'texturing' program. Use photoshop or substance painter or something appropriate to texture.
