Nice work Poitr. I dig. If I were to make a suggestion it would be more big brush silhouette changes in the cloth. More very low frequency stuff. Right now it seems to have good medium-high detail but lacks some BIG brush movements. IMHO

Hooray! Murloc is rigged! and gave it the "idle" pose just for a test  Did the rigging and skinning in 3ds Max. I am going to play around with the rig for a while to try some animations and poses.
Hi, I'm in the process of rigging a snake character. I'm loosely following a tutorial from 2017 that both uses Advanced Skeleton, and is manipulating the rig using a non-linear deformer in the form of a sine wave. I have rigged this snake with an IK spline, which is supposed to have its first pass animated by point and…
i'm not going to get into this too much since you're just getting into normal mapping, so here's just a couple things that stand out the most. 1. you don't need to model the inner portion of the barrel because from first person view it won't be seen. just make it flat. by doing this you can also remove the hole in the…

I hear rigging bird's wings are the toughest things to do and some say that they are always looking for a bird's wing rig in rigging portfolios. Is there anything like that in animation in your understanding? It's ok if it's something you personally feel has been tough to animate for you personally and haven't heard many…
Do you mean a rig to practise animation, or do you need a mesh for practising rigging? For which application? For Maya there are plenty of free rigs: http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=88&t=397196
I highly reccomend against *rigging* on this type of pose. Things are much easier to deal with in a rig when orienations are zeroed out. However, there's nothing saying that you can't put a rig into a different pose to bind the skin to.
I made a scene for Max and started a rig. Still have to look into how I'll do the face rig. That is, whether I'll make a full rig or just do a few custom blend shapes for presentation purposes:
