I imagine it as being in a suedo cave, really more like under a giant cliff that goes almost straight out creating a giant rock roof, but also having 2 open sides that skylight can come into at sun right and sun set.

oi. Before you start the lowpoly, can you plz model the panels on the floor? :D Also, generally when you render those shots out, do it with AO on (or in Max, just throw in a skylight). Gives a better sense of what it looks like, and we don't lose the roof.
Biggest thing I see right now is if you move your cart forward it will look tiny. If you move the camera forward you will lose the window on the right. The room itself has the proportions off. I would address that first and the rest will fall into place a bit easier. Right now the tunnel entrance looks tiny as well…
The main aisle of the "cathedral" looks too narrow and the blocky things in front of the pillars are absolutely huge. The pillars feel like they couldn't take the weight of the roof. The shape of the throne itself is very nice though!
