Having a lot of problems with an object's visibility in Max. The object in question is a piece of clothing on a character, I had it set to .6 or so visibility so that I could work on the mesh underneath, or see bones or something. For some reason now I CAN. NOT. get the visibility to change in the object properties. I'll…
from wiki so its super reliable "The amounts of helium-3 needed as a replacement for conventional fuels should not be underestimated. The total amount of energy produced in the 21H + 32He reaction is 18.4 MeV, which corresponds to some 493 megawatt-hours (4.93x108 W·h) per three grams (one mole) of ³He. Even if that total…
Yeah, probably. I never used Xtrans so it's why my curiosity . Gemini suggests against X-tras . Chat GPT for it . They couldn't agree on this thing . ha-ha. As of Foveon matrix it provides huge advantage for sure . My sigma quatro dp2 camera produces sharpest and most detailed mesh in Reality Capture . But does 2 minutes…
A GTX 1060 will be fine. We have some 1070 and 1080 running at the office and they work fine. (Expect Iray which is not supported by this hardware yet) :)
Control over all aspects and 100% owning the material created without worrying bout any infringement/accusations of some how miss-using any of the applications or content. Also to LEARN, these shortcut processes are made for indie's devs that have a lack of applicants for their projects and or want to make 100% of the…
I'm kind of just thinking about loud here. But I'm curious if anyone has used vertex color in 3ds Max that goes above 1.0? We're using vert color in our game for some effects, and the artists can paint in a range from 0 to 20. Values lower than 1 use Multiply, and values more than 1 use an Additive-like method. Works…
They can get pretty expensive, pretty fast but it really depends on how you're using decals, how big the bounding boxes are, what they effect and the biggest factor is how complex the shaders are. I think if they overlap, they can be more costly also. I believe it causes any mesh that is hit by a decal to be rendered…
Increase TO 100% if no change. MULTIPLY BY 100% is no change. Multiply by 50% halves the result. ADDING 50% takes half of the original number and adds, so, 150%. ADDING 100% doubles it, ie - 5(100%) + 100%(5) = 10(200%) 5(100%) + 50%(2.5) = 7.5(150%)
instead of image scaling why don't you just pop the thread out of it's table, into divs and then the offending image wouldn't stretch the entire thread to the moon and back Also every page served has inline styles and Javascript. Why don't you link these chunks of code externally so they can cache? It makes for a very…
