I'm curious if anyone has ever experienced this and may have an answer.... I'm trying to import a scene from Maya into Max and it seems like geometry containing vertex color information is is showing up black (or not at all) inside of Max. What is causing this?

Hi, I've been using Maya for a while now, and occasionally it will do this to my mesh that I save. I was wondering what I did to cause this, and how I can avoid this from happening again in the future. :poly142: Thanks for the replies! :thumbup:
this has come up before but i've yet to find a solid solution so i'm bumping the request. anybody know of an automated / scripted solution to extrude / inset a face with a circle of N edges ? or. chamfer a vertex to similar result ? maya specific. thanks
Is there anything that is like 3Point's great Max shader for Maya? I've seen Brice's shader at http://www.mentalwarp.com/~brice/brdf.php which is awesome. I was just wondering if there are other options out there.
Only the high end FireGL, and nvidia Quadro cares are "officially" supported with maya. However, it seems the nvidia gamer cards are a lot more stable in maya than ATI.

Hello! Im new on Maya and im trying to render with arnold. As i see in a tutorial i assigned Aiimage/AiNormalMap/AistandardSurface in my model. When i use Ainormalmap in arnold render view i see pixels in my model. What im doing wrong
I've got a simple bipedal model I'm working on, and I just finished rigging finger curl and grabbing animations on each finger on the left side. I've driven the keys for the animations through a control curve which the hand is constrained to so that it follows it as it moves. How do I copy all of this over to the other…
