We've teased it now for a few days and today we're finally ready to announce our next contest: the VG REMIX! Brought to you by Polycount & Sketchfab, the VG REMIX is a short, 3-week long contest where artists will create lowpoly dioramas of a scene from one their favourite videogames. These depictions do not need to be in…
Weird sounding workflow. But maybe you could try it all in the same maximized window, just swapping different views into the same scene. The two objects are in different locations, and one of them has a frozen semi-transparent concept-textured plane overtop it. Swap views with a couple hotkeys, you could macroscript them.
@malcolm I've consulted with some other TA's (much greater than I  ) and they say that an arbitrary rotation isn't possible as the tangent space would get all wonky. The 90 degree ones are possible because it's swapping color info directly but a non 90 wouldn't be a swap as much as a recalc...meaning you'd have to…
Weird joolz. I dont think I've ever even seen a cat shagging. I don't see them as particularly horny creatures. Perhaps I've just led a sheltered life? Now dogs are randy bastards. Our dog jasper used to try and shag the cat, and that was a pretty bloody funny sight to behold.
[ QUOTE ] IceWolve: use google, hit 'images' and type swat helmet or something like that, you should come up with tons of results [/ QUOTE ]I wasnt talking about the swat helmet but for the character in general. Its hard to me to find good character modelign refs for stuff like that
All bones look like are rotated 90 degrees on the local y axis. You could select all bones and offset their rotations using 'individual origins' Likely the result of a y-z axis swap issue, alternatively have a look in the import FBX settings inside blender to see if swapping Z and Y for up/forward fixes things
Yea, that works with swapping the materials, have tried that now. Its a bit tedious to set that up for all actors. A problem with that is that for some reason swapped in materials cant be animated with matinee. I can still change scalar values with set scalarparam though. But again strange is that in kismet you have only…
you can put the pose on a layer at the base level and you should be able to turn it on / off. if that don't fly keep a posed and not posed base to swap in and out at the lowest level which will keep all your high level detail intact. be sure to set a morph target at your highest level before you swap. just in case
I know it's a year and a half later, but are you still interested in the swap? I've got a Mac license and am looking for a PC license. Also if anybody else who is searching for this in the future is looking for a swap (I have a mac license, I'm looking for PC) I'd love to trade! Thanks Sam
