Don't forget you can save your materials and shaders, hopefully max8 will be able to open them. That might save you some time from having to rebuild them?
Right, rebuild the ceiling and made the wooden wall on the right a bit less chunky. Tomorrow working on the first couple props, starting with the ceiling lights and window blinds! Looking forward to it~
fael097specially for you, I present TurboReduce's Rebuild Base Mesh, watch the sneak peak below. [ame] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6u4vq5IXNmY[/ame] edit: Still in development.
Just for myself, maybe with a higher purpose. Most of them exist only as Sub-D Version, no Low-Poly or anything. I just try to rebuild them in highest quality.
Yes, from what I understand Dynamesh is essentially an entire mesh rebuild so it will not transfer uv's. Keep using Dynamesh just bake your maps in Max or Xnormal.
I've done a fair bit of troubleshooting problems like this. If you can get the files to me, I can fix it faster than you can rebuild it. michiel@thnkr.com

Here's a gif showing the result of freezing (original mesh, deleting normally, and then freezing first). There's no need to delete and rebuild levels. Just click freeze, do you thing, and unclick freeze.
