Before delving deep into Fusion check out Moi3D: http://moi3d.com/ It is made by one of the developer of Rhino and export super clean meshes with N-Gons, Quads or Triangles so it's easy to retopologize them. The price is also quiete good, 300 $ for a perpetual license, still better than throwing money at Autodesk for a… -

Thanks for this! :D I have a couple of doubts. The normal (object space (b&n) and normal2 (green ch) how do you bake it? With Xnormal too? And for the maps you bake in ndo2, wich map you convert to cavity, diffuse and occlusion2?? the normal one from xNormal?? Thanks mate! Great job -

Low Poly model with the HP diffuse/polypaint applied. Much to do still but an end in sight. Need to tie the pieces together with one last pass of mud, wear n tear etc and add a few pieces here and there, mostly pipes and the ammo feed/containers. Then onto the stand and dio. C and C welcome. -

working on the domed thone room more and tidying up some other bits n pieces. The sky was making those massive glows/lens flares come through the windows so I now have a container object blocking the sky, not sure if this is best practice though? *removed image to help with bandwidth issues! -

CTRL+N with the cursor in a text field. much like the old "max doesn't have a repeat last command" thing - it does, they just don't shout about it and stability wise - on decent hardware (ie intel + nvidia) 2012 is pretty good, it's no max 9 I'll grant but it's a step up from the last couple -

Ah, yeah, this never used to be a problem, because the Pop N Fresh exporter never used to support smoothing groups anyway - you always had to "fix" it in NPherno's viewer. I think Chris Cookson's recompile was made to support smoothing groups, but it looks like maybe that feature isn't quite working as it should? -
