That isn't the image the render window shows, is it? The image the render window shows will always be wrong, it's not your actual baked map but a complete map instead. If it's the render window image, go look to where you outputted your actual maps to. Seems you found the issue already, but just in case.
Cheers. I should probably point out here that the first image was supposed to be darker, was trying to replicate an image similar to this: http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100512022836/finalfantasy/images/0/0f/Blitzball_stadium.png Although I can see now its quite a way off in regards to the lighting :S
Splash page is a bit better, its too tall and too wide (have to scroll down to see the link buttons, and clicking the main image should take you to the site in my opinion. (also you should center the main image and use a repeating bg image for the orange lines).
this is what you want to do... when writing a post with an image in it, either use the [IMG[[/IMG] handles given on the site you hosted your image on, or have a direct URL like you have posted here and paste it in the "Insert Image" dialogue when you are writing a post. like so:
Great work, turned out very nice. For what it's worth the barn and silo textures are by far the weakest part of the image. If you were to put more time into the image I would invest it there. Tone down the amount of black in the textures. Make them read more simply and the overall image will be better for it.
hey cindy-you may find better luck if you used the image link rather than attaching. additionally, despite having very competitive assets in your site, you have chosen a fairly lackluster image. maybe try linking more of the images that showcase the different angles of the character.
Agree with those comments. For the images I would do this: checkerboard image with X/Y tile, make the image about 200x200 pixels or something (fairly small filesize, and not so much tiling/redraw) and if its just 2 colours, *.png the brown/yellow would be easiest with a 1000x25px tiled Y.
Overall the images are looking cool. I agree with oglemeanimations about bigger images and more info in general. Not sure if I suppose to be looking at next gen environments or just cutscene stuff. The lighting in the bottom image is really nice. Not sure what the green pods are suppose to be but you have me intrigued.
I'v made my portfolio and put up some images. i would really appreciate it if some of you would go onto it then come back and give me some feedback, such as which images should i take out or leave in http://www.liamstones.com/ thanks for your time :) todo list: show textures retopo worm grunge wood and concrete on water…
