One other thing work mentioning is the addition geometric details I'll be adding after the scene is textured. Generally, once I am done texturing something I'll go back and cut in new details or pull some shapes out to help support the texture and try and keep it from looking like a simple flat surface with a texture on…
this is great in my opinion. just a few comments the dripping rust on the middle of the pump seems a tad big play with scale on that part of the texture.also the peeled off rust on the red paint is a bit too much just my opinion. what i mean is think of the surface of this object and how it would naturally wear. for…
Well i was playing megaman zero the other day and i decided to create a robotic wolf but more realistic. But this will be my 1st hard surface sculpting in Zbrush so i been reading and looking at tutorials and people do hard surface things. I'm using megaman zero for colors and a little on design, and for the other major…
Hay guy's, from now until xmas, I've decided to try my hand at High Poly/Hard surface modelling. As a test run, I decided to model a Vacuum Cleaner! For the design, I used image references from a Digital Tutors tutorial on Hark Surface modelling. Any advice would be awesome. Modeled in Modo, with basic materials. I don't…
Hello, I made this one entirely in ZBrush in order to test hard surface modeling tools and see how it could replace traditional hard surface modeling in max, maya or any other 3d software. So my answer about which is the best is ... both Some very complex pieces are a lot easier to do without focusing on topology and…
I follow the official tutorial to make my textures compatible with Unity, but unfortunately this strange tiling appears on my normal map. It is only visible when the material is shiny. What could be causing this? That flat surface is only made out of 2 triangles. Normal map itself when looking at it in photoshop is clear,…
I sometimes just use displace modifier set to displace along edited normals with b&w texture I paint over an object to make its surface hovering slightly above hi res surface . That way you could use same low poly same object as a cage when displace is on. To bad Blender doesn't allows to paint displacement interactively…
The faces you see is because you need more sides on curves surfaces to be able to smooth them out in Zbrush, I guess you can drag the polish by feature a couple times, but in my opinion it's better to have a few extra loops/sides on curve surfaces, so you don't have to drag polish by feature 50 million times to have it…
Update on the Washing Machine High Poly - Managed to get most of the hard surface work done for this prop, was definitely a learning process and I'm quite happy with how it turned out! Heres some screenshots of my progress so far: It's not perfect and there are a few imperfections here and there but overall as my first…
I have had previously the Wacom Mobile Studio Pro, a Microsoft Surface Pro and an iPad Pro (wow, why so many pros!). The Mobile Studio Pro and the Surface Pro did not pan out as expected at all. It was really unfortunate, I expected better for the price point. I eventually settled for a good laptop and tablet combo for 3D,…
