That looks a bit more like a natural stone surface or marble than concrete, I think. Seems to be the large-scale bumps and general smoothness in the surface that are doing that. Concrete would probably be chunkier and grainier near the edges.
Hey! So I'm fairly new to PBR, and I'm sort of struggling to get my materials to fully take advantage of it. Here's an aged concrete block wall I made yesterday: The end result is alright, but it isn't top tier work. Can anyone see any big mistakes I'm making? C&C much appreciated :) Thanks Polycount!
So my next project (at the Art Institute of San Diego) is going to be the concrete art test. This art test has been done many many times at AI and I wanted to ask you guys whether or not this would make a good portfolio piece once it's finished (not based on quality of the presentation, but cause there's so many out there…

Testing out the new Quixel Mixer. I have been doing some testing of the new Quixel Mixer. I created a Concrete Material. Its very easy and straight forward. I find that I could create decent materials quickly. I see some limitation with create something completely custom like Substance Designer. But the way it makes…
Hi guys, My first post here, looks like a great community. I am learning Substance Designer and recently made this Hexagon shaped concrete wall. I would like to hear your feedback, criticisms and opinions. I tried to match the reference closely, however I increased the leaking dirt on purpose to give it more interest.…
