If you start with more geometry on your base cylinder, your curve along that cylinder will be much more uniform once you add support loops. I started with 48 sides, personally. I think Im calling this done. They weigh in at 492, 572, and 1032 tris, and all on the same 1024 sheet. as far as back story goes, I was trying to convey a regular soldiers sword, an officers sword, and then some kind of hell blade that has been affixed to a regular handle so some special soldiers can kick ass with it. :) -

my entry on ga.org zombie all stars and to continue with the little boy what you guys think about the hair? im not completely happy with the silhuete on the front view yet.. any ideas? 5532 tris with hair and eyelashes. also, ill probably separate both arms on the uv because of that nasty seam im getting on the left arm. -

I suppose this shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who works in this industry, but it's still disheartening to read. Six months of crunch and still going? Performance warnings for not working 11+ hours/day? I know it's only one side of the story, but seriously, ugh. Hope no one else is going through crap like this right… -

Thanks guys, been hard to find time to work on anything lately. Little update on the female, still a lot to do. C&C welcome. Sitting at 1032 tris. I was going for 1k tris but the extra 32 really add to the sillouette so I've left them there. If needed I could drop it to 1k so I'm not overly worried that I blew my budget… -
