Oh! I totally misread what you said. I took it to mean when you said finalize/start, you were referring to the model itself. Sorry about that Jec In that case, I agree with Jec in both counts: 1) as i sorta said, the concept is a bit simple, 2) the other details can be developed in later
Interestingly, At least a couple of the podcast I listen to shared the sentiment that to start a good podcast, you should record 3 episodes and throw out the first 2. That also seems to hold true to the art advice given on Polycount. Anyway, I hope this works out. I love the games industry mentor podcast, and this sounds a…
Fenyce, TerryMosier: thanks! obriien: thank you :) about my workflow - there is no definitive workflow, like 1. 2. 3. ... Sometimes I start from scratch and sometimes I can use a photo with the surface I like or want to paint. Overall its just a lot of hand painting. It takes few hours at least to paint one of these.
Both incorrect. It's in 4x4 blocks (16 pixels). DXT only stores two colors per block and interpolates the others, using 2 intermediate colors for DXT1, and either 4 or 6 (can't recall) for DXT2/3/4/5. Edit... made a quick edit of the page. Super busy, working the weekend in fact, but hope to add more later.
hm my 2 spline idea should work no ? you have one spline for the actual position dummy of the ammo (end) and the other one as lookat target (front), would give you aligned bullets, when both use same spacing along their splines. to animate them you would need to animate both dummys along the spline
Organic modeling is organic modeling, don't see why you'd need one dedicated to just creatures? For organics I'd recommend the 2 dvds by Iian Joyner, watched them couple years ago and felt they were both well worth the time/money spent. http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/dvds/ijo01.html…
Basically broke my back :P Well, I'm not sure where exactly it broke, but office work doesn't help with healing this kind of stuff. It's been sore for over two years now. And I can't feel my toes if I sit for more than 1-2 hours. Having a surgery next week in attempt to fix it.
Thanks guys! You're so right about the poly density of the torso I'll fix that. Could have planned the skin layout ove the 2 textures a bit better. I'll scale the head texture down to 512 because it won't lose any detail anyways. I'll make the boobs a little bit smaller and will add some nipple
Personally, I would put a scalexyz controller on your scale, then have a seperate float expression on the x y and z channels. Then say the X is the length of your bone, have a expression on there that factors in your distances in order give you lengthening/shortening. Then also have the fatness of the squash and stretch…
