Oh... I was talking about the shader used while sculpting, not the renders. In the livestreams you can see people using grey resin. I don't know what those render mats are, sorry. :)
@Onelung - that guy turned out great! sign me up for one of them resin copies! @HntrLuc - sweet courier, lookin forward to them textures @j1ll - no idea whats going on there but I like it!
I saw this a way back, it does indeed look very dodgey. Resin casts probably cost less, and are better quality, and haven't potentially come from someone making a stand for human rights.
Alot of cool stuff in that forum WIP Iron Man costume papercraft + resin = halo armor I'm going to try and use that papercraft technique to build some crazy looking housings for my circuit bending projects

yeah the boobs to me look like someone sucked on the finger of a rubber glove, injected resin into the fingertip of the glove and let it set i dunno why i thought of something that ridiculous. i should have just said they look like avocados

As a press promotional item I'd love to get one. Yes it would be better if they were encased in resin or something so they were a thematic paperweight (legally speaking) but its a great promo piece to go along with a mobster game. Good idea, bad execution.
Hey prof! Very very cool story, I sure hope that kind of stuff will become the norm soon! As for the Colored Sandstone material : It's very nice to work with, you can sand it down to a smooth finish easily but the color will wear off. It's also very brittle :/ However it is quite porous, and that might be a very good…
