You have to hide the Lowpoly if you bake with MRay...nit the Objrct, but the Geometry...simply add a edit Poly Modifier beneath the Projection Modifier and there select all Polygons and Hide them...you cann then turn off/delet the Modifier after/between baking...(you have to turn it off if you want to edit the…
Do they activate when you select an object, apply edit poly and enter a sub-object mode (vert, poly, edge ect...)? If I remember correctly the buttons are dynamic and if you don't have anything selected or what you have selected isn't a valid edit poly object, something like a box primitive.
Yeah they are there, I haven't edited them or even been near them. I'm not sure what the best course of action is for this. I tried a fresh install onto 2009 and the problem carried over from my 2008 version. Edit: Well funny enough I did a windows update, and its fixed. How random is that!
yeah editing the template as we speak, sorry if that made you question your reality =D changing home to portfolio as we speak unfortunatly i dont think i can edit which pages are displayed =Z ill see what i can do. it should have settled down a bit now.
Unhide everything, unfreeze everything, see if there's any other data. How heavy are the modifier stacks? If you have multiple Edit Poly or Edit Mesh modifiers, they balloon file size since each one stores the entire mesh. Also try resetting, then merging in the items you want. Sometimes this clears out hidden data.
Any of you guys know if theres a hotkey i can bind that lets me jump past all the modifiers in the stack and go right to "Editable Poly"? By default MAX selects the highest item in the stack and i find myself having to manually select edit poly in the right hand menu when I have something like symmetry applied over top.…
I want to make a 1024 wide x 2048 tall image and I realized I've never made that before. Do I just let Chuggnutt do a 0 to 1 fit and NOT maintain aspect ratio (stretches it across), then render to texture as 1024x2048? EDIT: I guess I'm just confused as to how I make it look 1:2 in the EDIT UVW window as well?
I'm having an issue in max 9 where when editing a mesh in the wireframe view the edges are much thicker than they should be. After trying to fix it, and failing, I figured it wasn't worth the time investment. I've just gotten used to it at this point, but I'd rather like it to go back to the way it was. If someone knows…
Buy it! http://www.humblebundle.com/ Revenge of titans and cortex command look pretty cool, downloading now~ I already have the other 3 but you can pay however much you want so... do it! edit; hmm I actually can't download cortex command right now~ they are aware of this problem, apparently it's not been completely…
EDIT: OK guys, the item is almost done, and i want to thank you for the advice and guidelines you guys gave me on the way. i`m posting 2 pics on how it turned out so far, and i got a few more edits to do on the textures. Looking forward to see more great stuff here, and even do some collabs if anyone`s interested. Thx…
