Hello, I'm new to polycount and wanted to present some of my work for critique/advice and to see my progress as an artist. My aim is to become good at concepting characters in a variety of styles. I'm comfortable with 2D, but have been working on branching into 3D. At the moment I don't know much about game art. But I'm…
I'd say don't listen to North, first off. We have plenty of 2d artists on Polycount, and many of them draw and enjoy Anime styles. It looks like a reasonable start, but I think you should try dropping in some values and starting working on your value & color composition a bit.
I've been lurking Polycount for a LOONG time, especially way back when I dabbled in some Quake1 modding. I venture more into 2D game creation, but currently am in the process of learning 3D. Anyway, thought this would be a cool thread to introduce myself and show some previous mockups/animations:
Hi there! My name is Noah and I’ll starting my sketchbook on polycount during my game art education to track my progress. I’m focused on 2D / concept art and little bit 3D stuff I have to do in school. Critique and comments are welcome, it would be great to improve my skills with your artist power. Let’s go!
Hello guys. This is my first post on polycount. I passed last months trying to work on this piece but just couldn't touch. But now i have a lot of free time and decided to do it the best i can. The idea come from an ilustration from 2Minds, a 2D art studio based in Brazil. Here is the progress so far.

-Thanks for the info about how the Raynor design was mass produced. For the SDK: I know that polycount is a forum about CG ;) but the idea of the n00bz is to create Vinyl toys so doing a mocup in 2D or 3D is not what matter. At the end it s to see an artist work after he used his Brushes and airbrush to apply it on a real…
Pinterest is a great place to search for concept arts. Follow boards of people who have game art/environment/character/reference images/weapon (whatever you want). artstation and polycount's 2D art section also has concept art. and yes you should ask before using any concept art.
I don't know if anyone else around polycount is working on an iPhone app, or is interested in working on one. I started working on a very simple iPhone app a week ago. At first it was a pretty rough start, as I had little to no experience with Objective-C. And then, when searching around for information on iPhone…
Hello Polycount, I haven't done personal 3D work in awhile since I've started my 2D journey which you can follow me there. I'm working for a company who is outsourcing their task to India so I wanted to be prepared if there isn't any for me. So here I am. Since in 2D, the emphasis is in the gesture. This reference seems…
