try putting the material effect before the uber post there are some weird things that can happen sometimes. you can always try and treat your own post process chain. without all the unnecessary stuff if youre just trying out a effect.
So, I started this project a while ago: https://www.facebook.com/TouhouKart It's been making slow progress recently for a number of reasons, but progress is being made. In fact, the game is quite close to being ready for a demo release. The trouble is that the project has gone through two character modellers, one of whom…
[ QUOTE ] One advantage is seeing the artists you mentor grow their skills and maturity and worldview. Just like teaching (or raising kids!). The people part of it is the most difficult and the most rewarding, in my experience. [/ QUOTE ] I just had to comment on this real quick. I know you didn't mean any harm, but this…
Finally! We are extremely happy to announce to you our next video game art challenge here at Polycount: the Escape In many ways this challenge will be an experiment for us; Usually we have very tight-knit rules & specifications for our contests and a very specific theme. Hi folks, It's been a long time since I was an active part of this community and its something I wanted to get back into. For the last few months I have been plugging away at my own game project. If that's still about the Apple Mini: you cannot use e-GPUs with the M series machines since there are no drivers and no support for it. Red wax makes everything look horrible imo :) rino: I'm liking this so far, a few proportion issues but really good flow :D PyrZern: Nice progress! Face proportions are definitely a little…
So I've been teaching myself environmental modeling in Maya, which is a great tool but I still find myself returning to my (admittedly short) roots in Blender for because I'm faster. I've held off using Blender for any serious as far as baking because I've heard on Polycount that there is something wrong with how it bakes…
I'm not exactly new to the field of 3d, because I have gone through lots of sub-d hard surface modeling and basic sculpting in zbrush, but in all technicality I suck at character dev. I am good at sketching out basic cartoony villains and such, but when I try to bring it into 3d, I choke and it ends up looking horrible. So…
