Hi folks,
It's been a long time since I was an active part of this community and its something I wanted to get back into.
For the last few months I have been plugging away at my own game project.
Hellscreen is a retro styled, fast paced, old school styled first person shooter, with a low poly, low rez giger inspiration.
Players unlock new weapons & abilities upon death by killing enemies, eventually allowing the player to progress further through the waves of enemies.
Kill. Die. Upgrade. Progress. Repeat.
I recently just completed a rough demo for consideration for the Leftfield collection at EGX in september and I thought I would share some images from that build. I am also hoping to get it on Kickstarter late september (although I am talking to some publishers too!).
I will continue to share progress and news on the project as often as I can but for daily updates, do follow me on twitter.
I hope you enjoy what has gone on so far and I will be back soon with more devblog type stuff!
Cheers
Jamie D

I am a longtime lurker and occassional poster and I wanted to share with you the project I have been chipping away at for quite a while.
Hellscreen is a single player level based first-person shooter for PC, in the fast, frantic style of classic FPS games from the 1990s (such as Doom, Quake, Unreal etc).
Rather then bombard you with TONS of words, I will just let a video explain it for me.
If you want to see the full pitch, check out the Kickstarter page here:

If you are interested in the ongoing devlopement of the game, follow me on twitter here.
I'd love to hear your feedback and thoughts on the game. It is a true passion project of mine and I really hope it gets fully funded.
Thanks all!
