Zbrushcentral is a great place to stay at the top in which refers to zbrush to other 3d apps. The guys at pixologic are working very hard to make our lives easier, and you know guys, this can´t be paid with money Also, there are a lot of excelent zscripters right there. Good times for 3d artists Cheers
Ok I think its best if I list an expected price for the license. I seem to be getting crazy offers as if the License is something that ages or shows signs of wear. Also when I bought the license is irrelevant to the price in which its sold at. It currently retails for $795 or £510 approximately. Therefore I am open to…
I read the whole thread a few days ago, but don't remember if this was suggested. Change your preferences in decimation master to only use 1 thread. This worked for me and some other folks in Microsoft. I am still dealing with this workaround waiting for Pixologic to respond to my ticket, but our other teams have had luck…
Modo is already owned by The Foundry. I doubt Autodesk will buy The Foundry. Just like they didn't buy Pixologic yet. I think if they could they would buy Pixologic in heartbeat. Though, who knows. I still wonder why Autodesk was able to buy XSI. Does Softimage managment gone greed-mad and when they saw tens of milions…
AFAIK, there's no concept of "second hand" software. You either have a license or you don't. It doesn't get cheaper just because someone else already registered it. That said, I know that Luxology and Pixologic allow selling of licenses but I don't know about Autodesk. They are generally not all that flexible on stuff like…
Its possible that pixologic didn't tested this enough and this is overall data handling bug. This need to be reported even if test case is ridiculous. However, layer system in zbrush is very buggy and error-prone. I use it all the time and have learned lots of strange rituals to avoid fucking up my sculpts.
It might be worth looking into the new Qremesher that Pixologic put into the latest R4 update. If I am not mistaken it can optimize a mesh in quads. It might be wrong though, havent had time to look into the new features yet. Also I have heard Meshlab might be capable of quad based optimization as well.
I just wrapped up the export plugin :)! This is how it works (there are a few more context sensitive buttons): I attached a pre-release version below and would love to get some feedback. So if you have a minute to spare extract the .zip into ...\Pixologic\ZBrush 2019\ZStartup\ZPlugs64 and give it a try!
Yeah this is a long standing Zbrush bug. One I reported years ago, and no fucks were given by Pixologic. I had the issue with a model from Maya though, not Max. Really sucks to see that this is still an issue. Probably means all the other UV issues such as unwelding them at the vertex level are still there.
Did Pixologic change the image plane from previous ZBrush versions? I found it pretty useful and started using it extensively until the 4R4 upgrade. It went from this: To this: What happened to Shift H and V? Even if you go to the Light Palette's "background" menu, the options for shifting H and V are not there. In fact,…
