Crash Bandicoot concepts. Vertex Painting or Terrain Landscape for this?
I plan to create the circled areas as separate from the main floor, but I'm wondering if I should use UDK's terrain landscape tool or its vertex painting feature (On a Static Mesh) for the flat floor. It's quite possible that you were running your old CRT monitor in 1280x1024 rather than the native 4:3 aspect ration of 1280x960, Daz. It may not be possible in this case, but you can model the circle entrance as a 'strip' instead of a circle, and it will reduce the pixelation artifacts by a ton. To get a sharp diagonal line on a normal map texture you need lots of resolution, to get a flat line on a normal map you need much less (and it will look better… -

lookin good. the only thing id say is that i dont like how you have that tri circle emblem uved correctly on the upper bone in the middle of the handle, but on the lower bone those 3 circle emblems going around seem to be squashed. doesnt look quite right. -

I think probably he meant there isn't enough variation and definition around the eyes. The upper and lower eyelids wrap around it evenly almost like a circle without much hint of fat or tendons causing variations, but at the same time the eyelids aren't quite wrapped over the eyeballs shape, they're sitting around it. Can you constrain circularise to only move the verts on their edge. Normally in this type of instance in Max I just set verts or edges to edge(or whatever) constraint and then use regularize to make a quick circle without throwing the surface out to make the loops into a circle.
