how can I change the watermark? In the "C:\Program Files\Marmoset\Toolbag 5\data\gui\viewport" I found this file watermark.mpic but I don't know what format is this. at least I cannot overwrite it from photoshop (PS doesn't know this format by default). any thoughts how I can change it? thanks!

I've come across a strange issue with elements on meshes..... I was playing around with my own face detach routine as you do :) It all works fine and as expected but it seems max has "pre-cached" the faces that make up each element for the purposes of speeding up subobject element selection so after the detach when you use…
with Maya it's usually either the material or something getting disconnected / bent out of shape in the history and causing the link between a shape node and material to get borked. Sacrificing your first-born (or deleting history every third operation) generally helps to avoid this sort of bullshit.
