Nice style, but all of the animation looks wooden to me, like the character haven't got any weight or balance to them...almost like something you'd see in an average student reel. And some of the camera work is flashy but meh. Crossing my fingers for some good writing.
yeah i played the demo a long time ago, but thought of it too expensive :) . I've been the cheep-ass student and paid them $3,-. But I hope he enjoys my 3 dollars a lot, because i sure as hell will be enjoying this game :) . nice find!
Zbrush is for sculpting highpoly (organic, mostly) meshes. 3D max is more appropriate for lowpoly, or hardsurface highpoly. I'd say Max or Maya are more essential for game art than Zbrush is, so yeah get it. I think if you're a student you can use it for free.
ive merely only lurked these forums for a bit, till i have a bit more spare time to work on stuff anywho im also a student at AI, and totally agree that you should visit AI ill still be attending the lecture though, cant wait dude
For all the 3D CGI artists and students, you must take some lessons or tutorials to learn 3D CGI when you are at beginner stage. I'm working in Mudbox 2013 (student edition), and it seems that when I use nearly any tool but the grab tool, it discolors everything into a semi-gloss (so it seems), and it's making it difficult to work on nearly anything.
