identify edge, draw line on edge. Vary opacity while drawing line, more opaque near corners and centers, less in between - or consistent opacity for specific style. Vary edge width for texture. this what you mean? see also: http://androidarts.com/art_tut.htm
In UE 3 more textures in a material (shader) don't increase draw calls. They only increase the amount of texture fetches from the memory. But a model having multiple materials does increase draw call amounts. :) Personally I'd use bigger texture with a single mesh.
welcome to polycount ;D your drawing is amazinggg~ love that set idea and the loading screen fits LC so much as well (i love drawing loading screen a lot) hope someone will model that set for u soon! too bad im not a modeler XD
Really nice work. Everything seems smooth .. I especially, of all things, like the gesture drawing sheet, since im just getting into the drawing game myself I guess. So interesting how some simple lines get that dynamic feel across.
Something as simple as a couple of lumps of Plasticine can help when trying to rotate some form for a drawing. It also forces you to think about the simple basic shape of whatever you're drawing since the Plasticine is too squishy to really get any small detail.
I think the idea is, they can draw in the adults who want to connect with something from there past, and they probably think they can add enough of a twist to draw in a new fanbase on an old story. I think they are relying on the fact that many 'younger' people aren't familiar with the show.
Looking for some sort of insight to be honest. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong as I can't stop hitting the same ceiling repeatedly. I've downloaded trials of Blender, Modo, Maya, Zbrush, and Sculptris. Ultimately I settled with trying to learn Maya and Zbrush and have spent a month trying to learn them with nothing to…
i have some store fronts that need texturing, they can be done by some tillable texture but with several materials for the same store front, they can also be textured using a unique texture created in substance painter and using only one material in unreal, which is better for performance, i know that each material is an…
We’ve all been there. You find a "bargain" 3D studio or a freelancer with a killer ArtStation, but three weeks later, you’re the one staying up until 2 AM fixing non-manifold geometry and flipped normals. The truth? The hidden cost to make a video game isn't the initial invoice — it’s the "rework tax." If you’re a Lead…
I did the drawings on separate sheets of tracing paper so I could do multiple styles and see which I liked best. I then put a large sheet divided into thirds underneath everything so I could work on the composition and make changes before finalizing the drawing.
