Using photo textures is fine, as long as you want photo style. Just make sure to align the edges of the boards in the photo to the edges of your geo. Right now it’s really odd seeing the crack between two boards in the middle of your geometry.
Over the last two months, I was working on this Warhammer 40k Plague Marine bust to become more comfortable with collectible and miniature sculpting. Thanks! :) Absolutely, I can definitely share some wireframes. Just a heads-up: I haven't applied any bevels yet, only some basic surface smoothing. I'm planning to do a proper retopology pass later, definitely not the most exciting part of the process haha!
