Ok I found the problem! After installing the Visual C++ 2015 redistributable x64 and x86 it works again. Now I wonder why the Suite 2.04 installer does not take care of this but instead refers to a message related to a newer version of Visual C++ 2010 redistributable being installed. Ok, so here is a little bit of mystery solving, Maya 2014 and Maya 2015 don't set the same Local Rotation Axis for the controllers. That's why I didn't feel like it was consistent. But, my problem remains, i need to actually be able to set the LRA my self and not be at the mercy of the predefined one by Maya... Any ideas?
I mean the only way to get the silhouette to match perfectly is for it to have as many radial segments, which isn't practically. Maybe I could really up the poly though. Is there one of those spreadsheets for polygon limits for 2018 or 2017? For all I know I'm being way to conservative with my geometry in general here.
