Yeah I've thought a few times while working on the site that 100% Flash probably isn't needed... It was more of a personal test, since I've never tried making a flash website yet. @Carlo_C: What do you think the best way to do the thumbs is? Right now they're just cropped, and not scaled. I don't want to just do a…
I think your environment looks really good and it needs just a little more work. Totally agree with Araka about 'personality pass'. I would also consider changing the colors of the wardrobe and cabinet. Maybe a more subtle color for the wardrobe and less dark for the cabinet.
This may seem obvious but I was wondering about ways to toggle RGB channels individually for particle shaders so that I could pack multiple particle textures into one image. and turn the channels on/off in the material. How easy would this be? I know there's a toggle node in Shader Forge but how to go about using it is a…
Some more progress some yesterday! I moved on to create the hood and front body kits. The project is moving into a direction I am enjoying very much, namely a Hot Rod! I am sort of kit bashing in a way where I take for example the hood of 1 car and mash it up with the grill from another car, which does not always work out…
Alright! Sneak peak, thanks to Funky Bunnies who wrote the thing straight away!!!! He is still working on it and polishing some of the behavior, but the bar is working incredibly well with 3D apps so far. Little action video introducing FunkyBar : http://vimeo.com/4960185 It really is a breeze to work with so far. I always…

Here is the project. We are looking to add an additional 3d artist to the team to help us transform new trading card artwork into low poly, webGL-ready 3d…
I joined the old Q2PMP site in late 1997. 15 years later, it's the same ill-conceived question and the same put-upon replies. Polycount is the unchanging rock in life's sea of chaos! Anyway, to the OP: You're not unmotivated. If you lacked motivation, you wouldn't have bothered to come here. What you are is some…
hey gav, good to see that you have been doing some stuff. but I do agree with most of the people here espiecally the part about rezing up your geo. engines now can support a fuck load more polys and you can get away with softing out your silloutte alot more. so you should really think of it in old asthetic terms...if you…
Hi, I'm in the process of adding hair planes to a model I've made but I've not found a good tutorial for skinning them so that they follow the underlying mesh. I've placed the planes on the mesh and the base skin is weightpainted but I'm not sure what the best way to weight the hair planes. Hopefully there is a way to do…
