Colonize Mars is building a simulation of a mars colony that will be a collectible trading card set as well as a lightweight interactive colony map on our website. Here is the project.
We are looking to add an additional 3d artist to the team to help us transform new trading card artwork into low poly, webGL-ready 3d models for use in our interactive map. Our ideal candidate has knowledge of the web-based 3d game pipeline, and can work alongside developers to make the assets as performant as possible, while still maintaining a realistic style and attention to detail that is consistent with our brand.
Here are the tasks:
1.) Create 3d models of different equipment and vehicles needed in a Mars colony. We will most likely need GLTF, OBJ, or FBX file types. We want them to be optimized for running on the web, and detailed enough to look like a realistic representation of the card artwork. We do not want this looking cartoony or childish. Some of them might need to be rigged to support simple ambient animation.
2.) Render each asset as a looping 360 degree rotation .mp4 video (for a showcase).
Our budget is around $500 per asset, and we are willing to work with you on a longer term basis if we are happy with the work.
