Blender 2.8, that's it. Simple, yet powerful and innovative. The unique thing i liked about Max 2020 was the chamfer update, with quad bevels. But you know.. i had that with modo more than a decade ago LOL.
Hmm, 1 hour into London, 2h 11m back... ? In their wisdom they think drunk people won't care about delays coming home for the night. Balls. My train is replaced with tube/bus/vomit express. :poly141:
A nice way to get those tire tracks would be to sculpt them and back them out! Then add them to a decal with just the normals, then plop them down. Or add the backed out normals to the floor materials themselves
Almost done, I still have a couple of things to do like a nicer lighting, particles, more decals, and a couple of small props. I would appreciate feedback a lot on how to improve and what to fix. Thanks!
ok, thanks... so vertex painting and decals should be done in the gameEngine itself. In the 3d application you just do the basic model and tiling textures. Do you know of any vertex painting tutorials for the CryEngine?
Hi guys, I'm sorry for the delay, I had to solve some problems, but I hope I can reach the goal of the contest :( Here goes the concept of Xayah, I hope you like it! Greetings to all.
Ah yes! If you wanna go down the whole floater rabbithole, there's a great thread about it over at technical talk http://polycount.com/discussion/155894/decal-technique-from-star-citizen/p1 gl hf
yes you can !! and you can do that in a variety of ways.. take a look here there is a tutorial or two on how to create decals/terrain and creating textures for your terrain i believe.. http://www.chrisalbeluhn.com/3D_Tutorials.html Cheers...
okay. so i was delayed about a week on this (was working on some other stuff), but i finally got the chair finished. no clue what ill do next, but ill know for sure by next week. here's the updates.
Hey Peris - thanks for an inspiring Unearthly entry! Yes, this is all made with game-specs in mind. I'll post a wire. Lots of decals though. Don't like the color offset? But chromatic abberration is the new lens-flare! ;)
