There was a bug in 3dsmax where it wouldn't update the skin cache, they fixed it in an update. So make sure you get the latest patches, hotfixes. Have you tried to 'Reset Xform' the dragon model? I'm not a Maya user, but I believe it is called 'Freeze Transform' there. Please correct me if I'm wrong. It could also be just a sorting issue. I don't have any experience with SketchFab, but can you set the alpha mode to 'Alpha Clip' there? Maybe that helps.

when doing the quick rig, do the step by step option. It lets you change the binding settings. By default it is set to linear iirc, try setting it to dual quaternion, it should give you better results. The axis on your mesh seems to be rotated weirdly. Try freezing your lowpoly first so the transforms are reset.
i got the saitek cyborg for free a few years back. Someone got one from gdc or something and didn't want it. It transforms and perfect if you find normal mice too small or big. cyborg And I've been using the logitech mx518 at work for over 4 years now, never had any issue.
ok so ive attempted to try the method that dustin suggested out and im getting stuck on how to create selections that go at almost a forty five degree angle so from top to bottom. I using the marquee tool on the selection mask and once I go to transform it at the angle I want it takes that piece with it
the hair is going to be a second mesh. was planning on having an alpha blend at the edge so it blends onto this head, but essentially it would all be snakes lying down, mimicing the form of hair, which then stand up violently when she transforms into the snake-like medusa. and dude... i'm totally loving your work :D :D:D

I came upon this little problem when getting entries for the polycountville thing. Some were odd sizes due to the import process. Would have been so simple to have a little transform box for actual sizes, not scales. If I could have typed 500cm for X it would have been very nice.
