Neat. Not what I generally think of as a balor (based on D&D they're usually big demon typed guys, a bit like the balrog from Lord of the Rings. Presumably the name extends beyond Gygax's geek armies), but a nice piece of work nonetheless. I think the main thing thats making the posture look of is the fact that he's all…
Slain, really nice job here. like many, I agree the proportions are way off, but without alot of backwork you might have to just accept that fact at this point. i don't think it's such an issue when the helmet is on as the character becomes alot more inhuman. i don't know the lore on the character, is she synthetic to any…
Really nice stuff Ben. My favourite is the 3rd one down, probably because of the costume, but the face on the 2nd guy is best IMHO. My single crit is that the last guy's beard looks glued on - maybe because there's shadow at the top as well as the bottom? Either way, his facial hair looks pretty fake. The rest is really…
If it affects the silhouette, I'd use geometry however subtle reason being it's a hero prop so view distance will be up close, as opposed to faking it in texture and tradeoff just a few more triangles regardless of budget.
Yeah thought it would be something like this. I'm no dev, but if I remember correctly such implementation shouldn't be too hard to make once 2.5 is ready. Hold shift and click on the icons to enable other selection modes. This way you can have a combination of edge + vert, edge + face, edge + face + vert, etc. The same…
spend more time establishing primary forms. The proportions seem to be off; try making the head smaller and the shoulders broader. Don't render the face, the darkness inside the visor of the concept is intentional. Not all edges are rolled; you can remove the rolled edges in the breathing holes and the edges of the cheek…
Thanks a lot, guys. I really appreciate your feedback and I think they've made a lot of difference... At least imo ;) I added some more shadows, cavity maps and what not to add some depth. I also decreased the spec highlights on many parts so that they wouldn't distract too much from the face. I tried making the face a bit…
Looking great bbob, I am a huge fan of this entire toony war project you have going on. I agree with Neox on the face being too similar, even if it is different than the German soldier this one feels more like a mini American to me rather than a little British guy. Maybe try googling some caricatures of the beatles to help…
Hey, everyone, I've been working on my Azula 3D fan art. Any critiques are welcomed I have her face currently fixed so I did a Zbrush BPR render with my Proxy Hair. Below the face and expressions I've done you will see the Hair cards I put which is rendered in Marmoset. The Issue I have with Zbrush to Marmoset so far it…
