After a few weeks of work, I’m happy to finally share this Silent Hill 1 fan art. I created a similar project a few years ago, but playing the Silent Hill 2 remake really inspired me to learn more about volumetric fog in UE5. So yes, this is heavily inspired by the visuals of SH2 Remake. For the color grading, I tried to…
When you have an object selected and are editing its pivot (pivot editing mode) its possible to snap the pivot to the various components of its object. All the various snapping features work this way too, such as point, edge or snapping. I am discovering Image planes dont have any of the above features at all. Right now I…
that's a good one .. without trying it my guess would be no cos it's a dynamic effect and the svt bake isn't done from a 'distance'. the low tech solution would be to manually force the distant textures to be visible when you build the svt - I expect a bit of poking round in the engine code could get you a tickybox though…

I really hope this is the end, because to have the thread devolve into discussions about head shaving then finish with poetry is just perfect. Happy 2025, polycount :)
I have a rectangle whose long side I would like to make parallel to another objects edge. I have tried all my newly learned tricks and nothing is sticking. The closest I have gotten is moving a corner of the rectangle to the edge I want it to be parallel to but this only gives me 50% of the solution... I have tried…
