Perhaps a few scratches on the shell or chest would work? The claws on the hind legs need to be modeled. Bowser is pretty much a dragon with a shell, he has big, clawed feet (and clawed hands...). Take one edge off every spike or something but model his claws.
If you look closely and read the character bio thingy at the top, The gun is inside the shell, and the turtle is a robot. therefor the gun is attached inside the shell, and you can see gears and pistons there as well. I think the turtle tank is an abolutely wicked concept. I want one
Tips from personal experience selling assets: - Sales are huge boosters to revenue, putting a sticker on something that says "50% off!" can give a massive boost to sales - Prices mean almost nothing. Charging less for something does not mean it will sell more. - People on forums who say they are going to buy something from…
Without any scripts, you want to flip it, then change the move pivot to one of the verts (hold d and v key and move pivot to some vertex). Then make sure the translate settings are set to retain component spacing, and hold v and move one shell to snap to the other shell.
Are you certain the depth and geometry are created by the shader? It can be done, but at what cost? Unless you are doing something very dynamic, maybe it'd be better to just use an additive material and some creative modeling (modeling a shelled top, shelled bottom, and simple in-between for each element).
Seems like a massive pain in the ass to have to rebake for every time you want to try to move/rotate/scale a UV shell no? Would people get some benefit if we made a tool to literally just click n drag on a UV shell and move it around with realtime updates to all the textures?
I SUCK at rigging. Plain and simple. I use maya 2008 and I have watched the DT training video at least 3-4 times and my characters never work. My clusters always disappear when I delete history (as the video says), joints will not deform properly even though I have oriented (spelling?) them, paint weights to verts for…
Hey Guys, I'm going to be graduating from college soon and thought I'd get some comments and critiques on my website and it's content before I start applying for jobs. Hey all, Looking to rig a beholder creature I've created for a baldur's gate 2 mod project I'm working on. I've worked with mostly humanoid characters up till this point but now I'm looking at rigging the eyestalks for this creature and I'm not sure what the best way to do it would be. I'm using max 2011. Any suggestions?…
