Are you opening your own project file by chance? I sometimes lose the Undo function after opening a project file. but if I restart Zbrush and start out with a default Pixologic project file, then load mine I don't have a problem with the Undo.
I am excited to announce that we have a new sponsor! Pixologic has joined the challenge. They are also giving away a copy of ZBrush. So we have decided to add a Grand Prize winner to the mix. A grand prize winner will be chosen between the Character and Environment first place winners. In addition to these, we are…
Nice, I didn't know TrimBorder was so useful, I always hated it for some reason, but there is a use after all. Also, I think that the Smooth Brush us being inverted in the ZScript, I suggest posting the forum @ Pixologic so they get this bug fixed.
ZBrush is quite powerful but by no means necessary to create stunning pieces. But the good news is you don't have to go without a proper sculpting app since there is Sculptris it comes from Pixologic and it's FREE! It's pretty solid and provides almost anything that's needed to get you started.
Just in case anyone experienced or was about to experience tha same headache... My activations would keep failing. I upped a zip of my zbrush folder and pixologic traced my misery to the Draster Zswitcher plug-in! Haven't checked for a new zSwitcher plug in yet.
Check out the numerous videos on pixologic's classroom. They are absolutely free and cover a lot of basics and also workflow techniques. Another good source would be badking. Here not all videos are free but most of them and you can download free alphas and brushes. Happy ZBrushing :)
zbrush has smoothing , but no proper tangent. dont expect to get good normal map if you use zbrush obj, either marmoset or pixologic hopefully will fix this issue now regarding to UV, you need to turn on merge uv in zbrush in tools, ( should be on by default )
thanks, i know i can delete the machine afterwards, my question is only, how often can i do this i know it sounds crazy, that pixologic would limit this, but also is nowhere stated that its not, so i just want to be sure here :D
Ahh yes :\ Pixologic is right though that's not a ZBrush problem, occasionally the tablet service just fails to load and won't work in any app. ZBrush spits out errors while photoshop simply disables all tablet brush options as it assumes you dont have a tablet.
Also, don't use the inflate slider (and possibly others, but Pixologic doesn't pay me for QA so I haven't checked) if you don't have fully unmasked geometry available for it to work on. If there's only partially masked stuff it will crash everything in a fiery hail of agitated screaming.
