As far as I know, OBJ merely stores references to textures that it copies (compresses) in another folder. Collada and FBX are both supposed to be able to embed textures in their files somehow, though in my experience I've found them to be a bit fickle. -

I tried the demo. Well, tried to try. TZhe installer does a whole bunch of stuff, says it's finished but when it's done all I get is an entry "uninstall" in the Start menu and an empty folder where I tried to install it. -

Here's a script I wrote for an artist at GPG that had similar complaints. Unzip it to your UI/Macroscripts folder, restart Max, and then make a button for it. It's pretty self-explanatory, just makes primitives with more game-friendly defaults. quickPrimitives.zip -

Disable the 3 buttons on the top shelf to the right. Next navigate to the 3D Object layer, right click on the icon with the ruler and folder, then say "Show Ruler." This button is a toggle and the text does not adapt to it's current state of being but trust me it works. -
Problem with PSD -Unwrapper for Max2013
Hello people How do you get Psd -Unwrapper to run under Max 2013 ? To what folder should i put the PSDPathUnwrapper.mzp file into ? it used to be under stdplugs in Max2012, but now its not working anymore when i use this path. many thankos -
Marmoset Toolbag 2 Turntable Question
There is a big chance I'm just not seeing the forest because of the trees, but when I try to render a turntable in MT2 it just dumps the frames in picture format in a folder. Is there a way to have MT2 actually render the video itself? Not seeing anything in the options to address this. Thanks! -
Corrupted max file woes
Had a blackout while working on one of my models, which resulted in corruption of the max file (file open failed). Nothing usable in the autoback folder, merging with a clean file doesn't work. Any ideas? :( /e There are only spaces when opening the file in notepad. -
Problems in itunes
Can someone help me? Why is it that some musics that have can't be imported into iTunes? I drag and drop them into itunes and nothing happens.. I try the File\ add folder to library and also nothing happens. :( This only happens on some songs. Anyone had this happened before? -
Cartoony Giant Chicken Request
Hey guys, Was wondering if anyone has a giant chicken kickin' around in their w.i.p folder, or would like to model a superlow-poly goofy clucker? Maybe just enough Geo on the face for a frown & Smile... Basic Lambert/blinn shading is cool. No texture work would be needed.
